Les Waterfall – A Serene Natural Gem in Bali’s North

Les Waterfall – A Serene Natural Gem in Bali’s North

Tucked in the quiet village of Les in Buleleng Regency, Les Waterfall (also known as Yeh Mempeh) is one of North Bali’s most peaceful natural attractions. Far from the busy southern beaches and tourist spots, this hidden waterfall offers a refreshing escape surrounded by lush forest, mountain air, and the soothing sound of falling water. If your Bali travel goals include nature, serenity, and fewer crowds, then Les Waterfall is a perfect addition to your Bali holiday.

Why Visit Les Waterfall?

✅ Peaceful and Untouched
Unlike more commercial waterfalls, Les remains quiet and rarely crowded. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, meditate, or have a private dip in the natural pool.

✅ Beautiful Jungle Setting
The waterfall is nestled in a green gorge surrounded by tropical foliage. A short, scenic walk through bamboo groves and footbridges makes the journey part of the adventure.

✅ Great for Swimming & Picnics
The base of the waterfall forms a cool natural pool that’s ideal for a refreshing swim. There are also shaded areas nearby, great for picnics or quiet reading.

✅ Support Local Village Tourism
By visiting Les, you directly support a small local community that maintains the site and practices sustainable tourism.

Location & How to Get There

Les Waterfall is located in Tejakula, Buleleng — about 2.5–3 hours by scooter from Ubud, or 30–40 minutes from Amed or Lovina.
